What We Believe:

At the heart of Grace Baptist Church is our commitment to the truth of God’s Word and the transforming power of the gospel. Here’s an overview of the core beliefs that guide our faith and practice.

The Trinity

We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, co-equal and co-eternal, yet distinct in role and relationship.

  • God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, sovereign over the universe, and the ultimate source of truth, love, and authority.

  • God the Son, Jesus Christ, is the eternal Son of God who became fully human without ceasing to be fully God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins through His death on the cross. He rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and now serves as our Intercessor, Advocate, and returning King.

  • God the Holy Spirit is actively at work in the world today. He convicts hearts, draws people to salvation, and lives within every believer—empowering, guiding, and transforming them to walk in truth and righteousness.

The Bible

We believe the Bible—both the Old and New Testaments—is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is without error and serves as our ultimate guide for faith, life, and godly living.

Humanity and Sin

We believe every person is created in the image of God. However, through Adam’s sin, all humanity became separated from God and spiritually dead. Each of us is born with a sinful nature and is in need of redemption.

Salvation

We believe salvation is a free gift from God, offered to all through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is received by turning away from sin (repentance) and placing personal faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Salvation cannot be earned by good works—it is entirely by God’s grace. Once a person is truly saved, that salvation is secure forever, not because of human effort, but because of God’s faithfulness and power.

The Return of Christ

We look forward to the personal and imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will first gather His church, then return with His saints to establish His promised kingdom on earth. We believe this is a literal event that fulfills God’s redemptive plan.

The Local Church

We believe the local church is a community of baptized believers who come together to worship, grow, serve, and carry out the mission of Jesus—sharing the gospel and making disciples. Each local church is self-governing and operates under the leadership of Christ as its head.

Sanctity of Life

We believe that human life begins at conception and is sacred at every stage. The intentional ending of life, before or after birth, is contrary to God’s design.

Marriage and Family

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant established by God. It is designed to be a lifelong union between one biological man and one biological woman. This reflects God’s design for family and human flourishing.

Human Identity

We believe that God created humanity as male and female, each intentionally and wonderfully made. Gender is a divine gift and part of God’s good design.
